Trials = Joy

Writer: Chesley MaldonadoChesley Maldonado

James 1:2-4 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Every time I read this, I almost get chills. “not lack anything.” Does that excite you? This scripture is telling us that you need to get excited when you find yourself going through it.  Not because your happy about your circumstances, of course, we don’t feel like rejoicing when things are going wrong for us, right? But consider it joy because you know that at the end of this, if you don’t give up, if you don’t cave in, if you keep moving forward, you’re going to be mature and complete in the end. Nothing will be missing from you. You will get everything that you need to grow into the person that God wants you to be.

Every need you have will be met if you just hang in there. Praise the Lord!
